The Character Application

Name: Character's name.
Age: Age of your character.
Gender: Character's gender.
Orientation: Character's sexual orientation.
Guild: Gang that your character is in.
Shapeshift Form: The animal that your character shifts into. Pick from the drop-down menu that appears on the application form. Read this thread about hybrid animals.
Appearance: Appearance in both Human and Shifted forms.
Personality: Character's personality.
History: A little background information about your character.
Sample: (IC) An average sample of your roleplaying abilities. If you need help coming up with an idea, feel free to use the NPCs in your post.
Other: Anything else you would like to add?

Your character's age should ideally be somewhere between 15 and 25 years old. Most of our characters are within that age range. Other ages may be accepted, but they might not fit in well with the age group currently being roleplayed on SA.

Your character is not required to join a guild. However, it helps if they have an affiliation with one of them, because it will give them more reason to get to know other characters.

Concerning Work In Progress characters

You can post WIP characters in this board and continuously update them until they are completed. If you do this, please put "WIP" in the subject so that we know you aren't finished with it. If you haven't made any changes to your character in over two weeks, your thread will be removed.

If your character application is complete, but a staff member has replied that you need to edit some things before you can be accepted, we ask that you please make these changes as soon as possible. Your thread is now considered a WIP character again- so if you haven't made any edits within two weeks of the staff member's post, the thread will be removed. If you are absent and have POSTED so or messaged a staff member, your character will remain as they are.

Limited Animals

Members may only create a limit of ONE character that shifts into any of the following animals;

• Felines (lion, tiger, panther, jaguar, domestic felines, cheetah, etc.)
  
• Canines (wolf, fox, coyote, domestic dogs, etc.)

Suggested Characters

We'd prefer if your character included these, but they're not necessary to being accepted.

• Join either the Thieves or Assassins: we currently have too many loners.

Your thread is now considered a WIP character again- so if you haven't made any edits within two weeks of the staff member's post, the thread will be removed.

Deleted or moved to archives?

I think WIP's should be deleted. Honestly if people can't be bothered to finish their characters, we shouldn't have to hold onto them until they can be bothered. Two weeks is plenty of time to finish a character (as people really shouldn't be posting characters they have no idea for.)

The only exception to this rule would probably be if somebody explicitly PM'd a staff member and explained why they wouldn't be able to finish a character within two weeks. And it would have to be a genuine reason, too.
